Atos has decided to comply with the most demanding 1.5ºC Science Based Target

Atos commits to net-zero carbon emissions as soon as 2028

We have set the highest standard for our industry not only for our own ambitious net-zero targets but also for our clients and supply chain.

“It is time to accelerate the fight against climate change. By raising our own decarbonization ambition, we will better support our clients on their journey by tapping into the power of digital technologies and their identified potential to reduce carbon emissions by up to 20 percent in other sectors. Our worldwide industry leadership in decarbonization will directly benefit all our customers”.

Our environmental journey

Our environmental program began in 2008 and we became one of the first digital companies to offset the carbon emissions of our datacenters in 2014. Our program has significantly reduced our carbon footprint, meeting the most demanding scientific objectives of the Science-Based Target initiative (SBTi) to keep global warming at 1.5 °C.
